Do I need council approval?
You can build a deck up-to 25sqm with out council approval. And no higher off the ground than 600mm. You can also build a pergola roof up to 25sqm in size and no bigger than 3m tall with out council approval. They also must be a minimum of 900mm from the boundary line. You can also build and outdoor kitchen on a deck without needing any approval

How much does a deck cost?
No deck is the same so It depends on the size and shape of the deck, the height it’s off the ground and the type of decking board you choose and the soil type it’s built on. There are so many options these days on decking boards it’s best to get one of our master builders to come out for a site meeting and discuss your project and issue you with a quote.

I'm too busy to organise approval, plans or even prepare my yard for any works….

Do I need Home Owners Warranty insurance for my project?
Any projects that need building approval that exceed $25,000 in total for the cost of works will require home owners warranty insurance.
